Distance Calculator Tool
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to use a distance calculator tool. By following these instructions, users can easily calculate the distance between airports and set the distance as usage for their data.
Tip: There is a distance calculator tool for specific emission sources to help users calculate the distance between airports.
1. Navigate to the Add/Edit Dataline form.
2. Select a source related to air travel.
- Air Travel - Medium Haul (>= 300 miles, < 2300 miles)
- Air Travel - Long Haul (>= 2300 miles)
- Air Travel - Short Haul (< 300 miles)
3. Click to the Next button.
4. You will find the distance calculator icon next to the Usage field.
5. Here, you can easily select both the origin and destination. To simplify the process, you can either type the airport code or the city name.
6. After selecting both airports, the actual distance will be displayed. Then, you can click the "Set Distance as Usage" button. This will set the usage and create a note as well.
7. That's it! Now you can save your dataline.
